Anchor Realty Group was formed to assist its sister company, PGI Homes, in acquiring land to construct new homes in the Burnt Store area. Anchor Realty Group’s services quickly expanded to include the resale of existing homes and condominiums in this same area. To handle its increasing customer base, additional offices were soon opened in Punta Gorda and North Port. As PGI Homes expanded their operations, RE/MAX Anchor Realty opened a Cape Coral office in late 2004. In 2005, Anchor Realty Group became RE/MAX Anchor Realty, making this the largest conversion of a Florida office in RE/MAX history.
